Parcel thefts in Borehamwood - Horizon Place - Affinity Place

We are aware of a recent increase in reported parcel thefts across Borehamwood, affecting both residential properties and communal blocks of flats.

We understand the concern this causes and officers are actively working to address the issue through patrols and local enquiries.

Track your deliveries and ensure someone is available to receive them where possible

Use secure locations such as lockboxes, parcel boxes, or nominate a trusted neighbour

Add delivery instructions to keep parcels out of sight (e.g. behind bins or in sheds)

Consider alternative delivery options such as collection points or lockers

Communal buildings: ensure entry doors are kept closed and challenge unknown persons politely where safe to do so

Install doorbell cameras or CCTV where appropriate to deter offenders and support evidence gathering

Individuals following delivery drivers into buildings

Suspicious persons loitering near entrances or mail areas

Unknown individuals attempting door handles or accessing communal spaces
